Pumpkin Patch drawing| Prismacolor Premier pencils

I don't know what it is about the big boxes of pumpkins outside every stores front door but I love it. Watching a spooky movie and drawing one night I came up with this.

This was a quick and easy pumpkin scene with a more abstract sky. This is more detailed then the leaves I have been doing and I learned a lot about texture and shapes.

My opinion on Prismacolor pencils are that they are very forgiving. I was always intimidated about my drawing because I had a hard time getting what I pictured in my head on to paper. Colored Pencils help resolve some of those issues for me. It's a slower medium and I have layers to build up shadows and highlights.
